About the My Louisiana Summit
The My Louisiana Equality & Equity Summit is a multi-day convening of social justice leaders and policymakers from across the state of Louisiana to discuss the Louisiana social justice agenda from a statewide perspective, helping to breakdown regional silos, share resources, and build long-term policy-influencing power.
Created in 2018, the Summit is made up of a series of moderated panel discussions, workshops, presentations, forums, and one-on-one conversations with leaders across the state. The sessions are largely crafted and proposed by organizations and leaders from across the state on a variety of issue areas, including health care access, criminal justice reform, education equity, climate & environmental justice, and others.
The My Louisiana Equality & Equity Summit is organized by The Justice Alliance, a Baton Rouge-based nonprofit organization committed to helping advance a policy agenda in Louisiana focused on eliminating second class citizenship and promoting greater social equity.
